Irakli Beraia has been appointed as Georgia’s Permanent Representative to NATO. The information was released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
At various times, Irakli Beraia has served as First Deputy Head of the State Security Service of Georgia and as Head of the Intelligence Service of Georgia.
For many years, Irakli Beraia was Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee and the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia. He also led the parliamentary delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
At different periods, Irakli Beraia held the positions of Director of the National Investment Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and Director of the Reform and Development Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
